How conductivity calibration works
We compare your instrument against certified conductivity reference solutions at points chosen to bracket your working range — from low-conductivity purified water applications through to high-range process and salinity measurements. As-found readings are recorded first, so you can see exactly how far the instrument had drifted before any adjustment.
Because conductivity is strongly temperature dependent, we also check the instrument’s temperature sensor and automatic temperature compensation. Where the instrument allows adjustment, we correct it and record as-left readings. Instruments that cannot be brought within tolerance are reported clearly, so you can act before they affect product or process decisions.
Most conductivity work can be completed in a single visit at your facility, which suits fixed in-line sensors and instruments that cannot leave a production area. Lab calibrations at Werrington typically take 3-5 business days, with express turnaround of 24-48 hours when scheduled in advance; on-site work is completed same-day.

Where a sensor must be removed for cleaning or bench comparison, we plan that around your production schedule.
Is checking against a standard solution enough on its own?
A quick check against a conductivity standard solution is useful housekeeping, but it is not a calibration. It gives you a single point, no documented reference pedigree and no certificate.
