Traceability, accreditation and audits
Is FWC Calibration NATA-traceable?
Yes. FWC Calibration provides NATA-traceable calibration. Our calibration certificates carry NATA-traceable measurements, documented to ISO/IEC 17025 principles. FWC Calibration is not a NATA-accredited laboratory; our reference standards are calibrated by NATA-accredited laboratories, and we operate an ISO 9001:2015 quality system.
What is the difference between NATA accreditation and ISO 9001:2015?
NATA accreditation under ISO/IEC 17025 is specific to the technical competence of calibration and testing laboratories. ISO 9001:2015 is a quality management system standard that applies to the way the business is run. FWC Calibration holds both.
Are calibration certificates from FWC accepted for TGA audit?
Yes. NATA-traceable calibration and mapping reports are accepted under TGA inspection.
What we calibrate, and where
What types of calibration do you perform?
Six core service lines: electrical, mechanical, pressure and flow, temperature and humidity, biomedical equipment, and compliance reporting / ISO 17025 documentation.
What areas do you service?
New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria, and the Northern Territory. We are based in Werrington (Western Sydney) and travel to customer sites across these regions.
Can you calibrate equipment that is permanently installed?
Yes. Our mobile units carry NATA-traceable reference standards to your site and issue full certificates without you needing to remove the equipment.
Turnaround and calibration intervals
How fast can you turn around a calibration?
Standard lab turnaround is 3-5 business days. Express is 24-48 hours. On-site visits in Sydney metro and ACT are within 5 business days; VIC and NT are 7-10 business days.
How often should my equipment be calibrated?
Standard interval is annual for most general-purpose calibration. Safety-critical equipment every 6 months.
What a calibration certificate contains
What does a calibration certificate include?
Customer and asset identification, instrument make/model/serial, environmental conditions, reference standards used, as-found readings, as-left readings, measurement uncertainty, recommended recalibration interval, technician identification, and the NATA traceability.
Can you re-issue an old calibration certificate I have lost?
Yes. We retain calibration records and can re-issue historical certificates from our database.
