What the system is made of
Wireless sensors
One sensor per unit, battery powered, fitted without cabling or modification to the appliance. Probe options cover air temperature, product simulation using a glycol bottle for a truer reading of what the stock is doing, and door-open detection where that matters.
On-site gateway
The gateway collects from every sensor in range and forwards readings to the dashboard. Because it sends data off site, a fault is visible to you and to us even when the premises is closed — which is exactly when most cold-storage failures happen.

Why the sensors get calibrated
A monitoring system is only as good as the sensors reporting into it. An uncalibrated sensor that reads 1.5 °C low will sit there for a year showing a comfortable 3 °C while the unit is actually running at 4.5 °C, and every record it produces will be wrong in a way nobody can see.
An out-of-tolerance sensor does not fail loudly. It just quietly certifies the wrong answer, every ten minutes, for a year.
We calibrate sensors against traceable reference standards before handover and issue certificates, then hold a recalibration schedule so the system keeps its credibility. Monitoring FAQ
Do I need internet at the site?
The gateway needs a connection to forward readings. Most sites use existing Wi-Fi or a wired connection; where neither is practical, or where the cold storage sits away from the building, a mobile-data gateway can be used instead. We confirm this at the site assessment rather than discovering it on install day.
What happens if the power or internet drops?
Sensors keep logging locally and backfill once the connection returns, so the record has no hole in it. Loss of connection itself raises an alert — a monitoring system that goes quiet when the power fails is worse than none, because silence looks like everything is fine.
Can it cover more than one site?
Yes. Multiple sites report into one dashboard with per-site alert routing, so a venue manager gets their own alarms while head office sees everything.
Are your certificates NATA accredited?
FWC Calibration is not a NATA-accredited laboratory. Our reference standards are calibrated by NATA-accredited laboratories, giving traceability to national standards, and we operate an ISO 9001:2015 quality system. Sensor calibrations are documented to ISO/IEC 17025 principles.
