Calibration tells you an instrument was accurate on the day it was checked. Continuous monitoring tells you what happened at 2am on a Sunday when the compressor failed and nobody was on site. Where monitoring fits alongside calibration

The two are complementary, and most sites need both. Monitoring is continuous and tells you what the temperature is. Calibration is periodic and tells you whether the instrument reporting it can be believed.

The point

A monitoring system built on uncalibrated sensors produces a confident-looking record of nothing.

If you need periodic instrument work rather than continuous monitoring, those services live under calibration services — in particular temperature and humidity calibration, data logger validation and temperature mapping.

How installation works

  1. Site assessment

    We walk the site, count the units that need covering, check gateway placement and signal, and confirm the alarm ranges each unit should hold.

  2. Supply and install

    Sensors fitted to each unit and the gateway commissioned, typically in a single visit for a single-site business.

  3. Calibrate and document

    Sensors verified against traceable reference standards, with certificates issued so the system starts with a defensible baseline.

  4. Handover and support

    Dashboard access, alert routing set to the right people, and a scheduled recalibration interval so the system stays trustworthy.


Traceability and accreditation

FWC Calibration is not a NATA-accredited laboratory. Our reference standards are calibrated by NATA-accredited laboratories, which is what makes the measurements traceable to national standards, and we operate an ISO 9001:2015 quality system. Sensor calibrations are documented to ISO/IEC 17025 principles. If your procurement specifically requires an accredited laboratory, tell us before booking and we will confirm scope.
